Default god of war?

Having read in another thread that the iwo jima memorial has thirteen hands holding the flag, that odd hand suppoedly being god's do we believe that during ww2 soldiers believed that god? made a difference i know my dad who served in burma, said he knew of chaplins that renonced god because of the things they saw. example If there was a god why did he let the horrible things like concentration camps happen. This might cause a mixed reaction but given my reason for asking, based on the iwo thread i feel it is a fair question.jason

Default Re: god of war?

On a similar note IIRC in a German concentration camp a group of Jewish inmates put God on trial for what was happening to them.
