Thanks for posting Vicky. In the first picture, is that Jerry Colona with Bob?
Did he play for y'all after he came home?
If it is alright with you, I'll leave the other pics where the are since they are duplicates. Will you posting more about your father? If so, I'll add a link to the other threads pointing to this one.

Re: U.S. Army Air Force Musical Band Photos.
Performing with Bob Hope in this photo was Frances Langford and Jerry Colona. I found Frances Langford in Florida, soon before she died and sent her a letter. She sent me a brief letter telling me they performed with many bands, also a signed photo of when she was younger. It was kind of her to do this for me. She lived a long life.
You can do what you like with the photos. I will be posting two more threads. One will have photos of V.J. Day Celebration where my dad was during this time - Leyte Island Phillipines and also my father in law's military service along with photos. This is an article that was in a Pittsburgh newspaper about my dad. I will write it instead of scanning.
BAND IS COMMENDED
Pfc. Bernard P. Valentine, 1537 Grandview Avenue, was a member of a delegation of 13th A.A. Jungle Air Force musicians playing at the Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at a Netherlands East Indies base. Jungle setting was the outdoor theater in the 13th AAF Headquarters area. This Jungle Air Force band participates in all special functions of the organization which has battled the Jap airpower from Guadacanal to the China coast without being based in civilization in more then two years of operation.
They recently received the following commendation from Major General St. Clair Street: "It is with gratification and pleasure that I commend you, the men of the band, for your distinctive contribution toward maintaining the high morals of the personnel of the 13th AAF group. You have given freely of your time and talent to all who deserved them. You brought entertainment and good cheer to men gathered at theaters and other social functions. You have made the military ceremonies performed at the 13th AAF headquarters outstanding and inspiring. Your diligence and team spirit is a model of group enterprise and you may well be proud of the affection and respect which your associates in this AAF group hold for you and your organization.
Pfc. Valentine is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Valentine and has been in the service 2 1/2 years. A graduate of Scott High School, he has been overseas one year. A brother John is in the Navy.

Re: U.S. Army Air Force Musical Band Photos.
Thanks, I have tried to do research on where Bob Hope was during his travels and can't find anything. Interesting subject if anyone wants to pursue it. I wrote to U.S.O. and they said their records were housed in a building in N.Y. but the building burnt down in the 70's. If I do find more info I will add it to this site.
