Default along with the "Willy and Joe" cartoons,...

here is a site (haven't figured out how to make URLs work exactly), I suppose a person could copy and paste it into your browser window.

Dr. Seuss Went to War

This one is from a really surprising source DR.SEUSS! Yupper, the Cat in the Hat guy. Be warned, many of them are far from PC, but about right for the mind-set of the time I suppose.

PS, sometimes the URLs change automatic, but not when I linked to a local paper concerning Custer and the LBH.

Interesting site that provides some insight into what was going on at the 'homefront' - i.e. attitudes (Seuss's attitude, anyway!) towards appeasement, the ubiquitious War Bond drives, politics, rationing, etc., where Willie and Joe spoke almost exclusively to the fighting Joe.

Although, from the ones I viewed, Seuss's stuff had almost a 'propaganda-ish' quality to it.

Thanks for sharing it -
