Default Canadian Servicemen/Regiments WWII

Hi, I am writing a book about Canadian Servicemen and Regiments that were stationed in Worthing and West Sussex England during WW11. In particular I am interested in where they were billeted. Any veterans that were in the area during that period I would like to hear from. Also anyone who has photo's and memories that they would like to share. Thank you.

Canadian "Homefront" stationings aren't my area of expertise but perhaps this site may help you in your research.

Itinerary of The Royal Canadian Regiment 1939-1945 looks like the RCR for a few months in 1943

I see that you've already got some good leads on Maple Leaf Up.

Worthing, West Sussex | England | United Kingdom (UK) | Parish | Village | Community | Worthing Canadian soldiers stayed in several parts of the town, including the former site of the town's rugby club in Tarring[56] and at Park Crescent in the town centre. Courtlands, an impressive country house in the Goring area of the town was used as headquarters of the First Canadian Army.[57] In February 1944, the British Army's 4th Armoured Brigade set up headquarters in the Eardley Hotel by Splash Point. 200 tanks arrived and troops were billeted in and around Steyne Gardens. Historic Beach House was used by the Air Training Corps.

Canadian Squadrons
A number of Canadian Squadrons involved in anti U-boat activity and shipping strikes used Wick as a base in 1943 and 1944. Through the Canadian Air Crew Association several of these men were contacted.

Hi,

I forgot to ask you Michelle, where did you manage to find the information stating where the Regiments were in Worthing?

Originally the link is the very first part of the paragraph, but it appears there has been some change since Nov 15 - it now appears as:
