I was just wondering if anyone has any WorldWarII Computer games that they would like to share. Or, if anyone runs/plays in a War PBEM (play by email) if they'd recomend it.
I have The Operational Art of War: VOl I and The Operational Art of War: Vol II Elite Edition, and play in a WWII game that is about to start as Italy. It starts in 1939 and there are 4 minor countries that arent taken as of yet. If you contact me (if you are interested) i'll send you the link and Vortigerns email address (The GM)
Thanks

TOAOW V1 & 2 are the best WWII games out there. Tho I think V2 is much better than the first.
MicroSoft's WWII Flight Combat Simulator is cool too.

Just reading the review for TOAW on Gamespot,Combat Missin gets a higher review by 1 % ,woo hoo we rule! lol actually looks like a pretty good game strategically, If your not familiar with Combat Mission its more on the tactical level and features a radical departure in game play. I love it and play all the time, haven't worked up the edge to play it online yet. If the game interests you check it out at Battlefront rIts not available from stores so theres no middle man, the money goes strait to the games creators

Abd al Aziz: The Operational Art of War game is by Talonsoft? isnt it? It sounds like one of their games. The only Talonsoft game I have is: Easten Front, and I have been wanting to get others, and The Napoleanic Wars games, but havent had the time.
What do you think about Eastern Front? I bought this game when I was in Hameln (Hamlin), Germany last year, and finally got to try it out in late November early December, and I have been hooked on Talonsoft games since.

The Operational Art of War is my favorite wargame of all time. I am a long time player and collector of Avalon Hill, SPI,and GDW games. TOAW, takes the spirit of these games we all loved to play, and puts them on the computer without the hassle of laying out all those cardboard counters. The newest release of TOAW, Century of Warfare, includes scenario's from the Boxer rebellion to Kosovo and Chechnya. The scenario editor is easy to use and allows scenarios to be made by everyone. Because of this thousands of good scenarios are available online, which gives almost unlimited gameplay.
I thought East Front was ok, but I havent played it much. I liked Peoples General more. Talonsoft has Operation Flashpoint, WWI i think, West Front 1 and 2, and now an East Front 2, all in the same family as East Front.
Real War and Tropico are my two favorite newer games. Dont believe the hype Black & White sucked.
