I recently saw a picture of a SS soldier in what looked like a graduting photo, but thats not the important part. What I found strange is in the picture he had his sleeve eagle and he also had a breast eagle, but it looked like it was a pin. Could any one explain why?

Hello, it seems we share a common interest in this field. Anyway, i have seen the picture you speak of. The man is attached to an Army battalion conducting pre-war exercises and he is seconded to the army to lend technical medical support. Hope this helps
