The German S-97 was recently found at the bottom of the Seven(sp.)River. She was raised and found to be quite sound and intact. After her launch in 1942 and long career in the navies of Germany and Denmark(post-war),she was sold and spent her remaining days as a houseboat, before being abandoned. She has been turned over to the British Military Powerboat Trust and will be towed to Southampton for several years of intensive, restoration. Diesel engines have already been found and are waiting installation. Wow! What a treasure trove! An authentic, German S-Boat!
