This is a bit difficult question, but ill try.
Does anyone know what happend around Narwa the 03.5.1944?
Im doing a book on Faroese SS volunteers(there was only 7). One of them died on the 03.5.1944 in Narwa, does anyone have a book on the subject?
Thanks;

Battle of Narva was a ferocious battle involving the Waffen SS foreign volunteers. There is a book that covers their particpation as well as the battle in detail. I believe the book is called, "SS Blood and Soil". I have it but cannot get the title verbatum. I will get to you tonight.

"SS : The Bloodsoaked Soil" by Gordon Williamson Hardcover. This covers the Battler at Narva which was a medevial town with high walls and was virtually destroyed after the battle. Also covers the battles at Demyansk and Kolm and much more. You may get your answer here.

I know the 11th SS Division Nordland and the 23rd SS Division Nederland took part in this battle. I am pretty sure that Leon Degrelle's Wallonien division also took part.

I'm not entirely sure that Degrelle's Division was at Narva at that time.
In his book, 'Campaign in Russia : Waffen-SS On The Eastern Front' Degrelle describes the Assault Brigade 'Wallonia' being granted 21 days' leave during February from the fighting at Cherkassy.Then, in May, the Legion was sent to Poland for reorganization, with Hitler forbidding Degrelle himself to return to the front after Cherkassy.
He mentions the following action as happening in July 1944 : -
'A terrible blow from the Soviets struck the front. This time it shook the Estonian sector of the Eastern Front, below the Gulf of Finland. The outlying position of Narva was held by a picked Corps of the SS, the Third Panzer Division, made up of Germanic volunteers from many countries, Flanders, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia. All had fought valiantly, but had suffered great losses'.
Degrelle then describes his journey through the Baltic to rejoin his men before Narva in mid-August '44.
Degrelle is quite a 'volatile' writer - did he confuse his dates ?
