Great addition Crapgame Also the Germans also nicknamed the Brigade the: "Der Teufels Brigade" which is where they got the idea to call themselves the: "Devils Brigade."

Not that I have ever heard--the only Green Devils I ever heard about were the 5th Fallschirmjager Division. At least i think it was the 5th--but if not--the Green Devils I have heard of are Fallschirmjagers.
Now the British have the Red Devils--which I think is their first Airborne Division--ya know--the guys Sean Connery commanded in Arnhem in: "A Bridge Too Far."

I had thought that the term was wide-spread for the Fallshirm-truppe in general ? Green devils in baggy pants, now was that to the German units ?
