KG 76 Florian Geyer first received the Ar 234 in June of 1944 and suffered tewst/ops accidents all through the late summer/fall months until 9./KG 76 flew ops on December 17, 1944, continuing till war's end. It seems it was the only ARado bomber unit while there at least 5 examples of recon units using the Arado successfully.....

Nice pic of the famous Cologne Cathedral--thanks again Kai. Friedrich had sent me a few pics of it as well--had to delete them for lack of email space

Jet,
here´s some from Market Garden in the net:
Dutch resistance and German POW´s
Troops from England and how they were flown
More British POW´s
German soldiers at the north wing of the castle after the landing of the British paratroopers on the Doorwerther moor during the battle at Arnhem in 1944. On the roof you can see a British supply parachute
I´ll try to find more...

Market Garden:
Fallschirmjäger on the move around the Arnhem corridor. Above shows troops from Kurt Student's 1st Fallschirmjäger Army on the Mook-Malden Road near De Kroon.
Classic pic of Germans shooting at the Allied paratroops landing at Arnhem
The next pic is probably not from Arnhem but came up with the search. I thought it was not to be missed so I´ll include it:

Kai--thanks for the Stan Stokes artwork--I rate him near as good as Robert Taylor.

Jet, the British division involved was indeed the 6th Airborne which had previously landed on D-Day as opposed to the 1st Airborne which landed was involved in Market-Garden, interestingly units of this division also fought in the Battle Of The Bulge. One of my favourite units the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion was part of this division. The Canadian army in general was suffering from a crisis of replacements by late 44 and the para's were re-enforced by parachute trained veterans of the 1st Special Service Force, the famed "Devils Brigade"
