Just heard this this morning:
Appx 34,000 ww2 American vets pass away EVERY month!
This is an extra 4,000 a month since what? April?
Thats 48,000 per year more than the figures I heard about in April?
And that figure was up appx 104,000, from just ONE year.
The greatest generation is leaving us, folks. I VERY STRONGLY suggest that if you have even the slightest urge to write to a vet, or talk to one, I suggest you do so while they are still here....
Good thing is, that there are still millions of ww2 vets with us--but, as you can see, they are passing away in ever increasing numbers.
You also have to know that this is happening in every country that participated in the fighting in ww2, with differenting numbers, of course.
