Well sort of WW2 today..

This transmitter was photographed at the U.S. Army Signal Corps Museum at Fort Monmouth in the 1960's. It was identified as the transmitter from Hitler's train. According to Arthur Bauer, this transmitter was sometimes used in special trains in which a communication section (wagon) was incorporated. I suppose that it is a high power version of the S 406 The unit below the transmitter could be the modulator or "keying" unit.

Ha! That's one of WWII's odd things. I bet no one has ever thought about Hitler's train radio!
