Just got back from a week in Normandy; great weather, and plenty of time to see some new things, including the recently opened Juno Beach Centre.

I also had another look round the battlefield around Tilly-sur-Seulles, an area that interests me greatly, and found some new places which included this fascinating wall covered in slate carved badges of WW2 units;

Anyway, all this new stuff on the updated Normandy pages of my website at:

Excellent update Paul--many many thanks.

One thing that is an eye-opener for me is to see how many Shermans there are as memorials.

I also liked seeing the German D-Day Command bunker--reminded me of the scenes in The Longest Day with Major Pluskett on the phone telling his CG that 6,000 shipe were heading directly for him.

I wonder if he ever found his Hund?

Sommecourt,

Again, this is a wonderful site! It already has a wealth of info, but it is growing into an very extensive point of information about the Normandy battlegrounds. Absolutely amazing and very much along the lines of what I want to achieve with my own site. (With a wee bit different angle of aproach).

You really turned your site into a "How-To" manual for Normandy, if I may put it like that.

Keep it up! It motivates me to get back to work on my own site!

He's even got a pic of Moissy Ford, one of my personal favourite battle sites to visit.

Now it'll be visited by millions, following in Sommecourt's footsteps...

Thanks for the kind comments, guys.

Sorry Martin - next time I'm at Moissy, I'll put up a sign directing any finds straight to you!

Am hoping to get a Bulge trip in before the end of the year, and greatly update that part of the site as well.
