I went to the Dayton Airshow this summer. The last day there were two p-38's flying in formation. This had not happened in over 30 years. The two P-38's were Porky II and Glacier Girl. They both particpated in the pyrotechnics. At the end of the 3000 foot long wall of fire it happened. They flew through the smoke. It was an amazing sight.

That must have been a site. About a year ago I watched two P-51 Mustangs flying over farmers fields--as Cropdusters. One was painted bright yellow--the other was painted blue.

Even as Cropdusters--these two birds were still beautiful and delightful to watch flying.

Cool. I wonder why they would use Mustangs for Cropdusters. If I had a P-51 I know I wouldn't do that

I don't know why they use Mustangs as dusters--i'd choose to restore them to their wartime glory.

One thing I have heard is that the man who owns them was supposedly a Mustang Pilot in ww2 or early Korean War. I do not know if that is anything other than just a story though.
