Superb show for Duxford's D-Day at 60 commemoration today.
A rare thing - a gorgeous English Summer's day (!) with a typical East Anglia skyscape which made the displays by B17G 'Sally B' and P-47 'No Guts No Glory' especially impressive. One mishap in the morning - the Fighter Collection's Hurricane XII suffered undercart failure while taxying ; embarrassing but damaged looked thankfully light.
My wife amazed me by asking to come along -

- and the audience was probably the biggest I've ever seen up there.
Some real bargains on the bookstalls, too - bought while the wife wasn't looking, of course !
