Today started a conference at the University of Wolverhampton on the Normandy Campaign. Hopefully i may be able to go to some of the lecture if time permits. You can see who has been speaking at

The list has some of pre-eminent academics in their field doing talks.

Just been to one of the lectures. Managed to get off work early. The three talks were:

Stephen Hart - Talking about Op Totalize and transforming operational success into victory.

Ian English - Talking about the success of Op Bluecoat.

John Buckley - Discussing the the myth surrounding British armour during the normandy campaign.

All very interesting.

Well he did mention it. Good lecture. But if you've done his normandy module you've seen it before. The book is £52!!

Ah... the old British Armour in Normandy Lecture...

Yes, I slept through it well... Its always after my Airborne lecture!


£52 for his book... Well, buggered if I am paying that... Best email him lata, he owes me for all the German sources I found for him... Bet its a bloody good book though...
