Looks like a beeched whale [img]tongue.gif[/img]
You can also see a red stripe on the bottom of the horitizantal stabilizer. Perhaps this is a unit marking.

Many thanks for posting the link, Stevin - there was a lot of discussion at the Mossie Museum this weekend about this discovery.

I'm not sure, but I think the red stripes are recognition markings - white and yellow stripes were also used.
