I read somewhere that German women were encouraged to have babies with German military men in order to help grow the "master race". This went as far as helping the unwed mothers in care facilities built just for this purpose. Has anyone heard of any books or articles that were published about what happened to those children? Were they just absorbed into the rest of the broken families in the post-war society? Did this cause a kind of baby boom that started before the onset of hostilities instead of after like we had in the states? I was curious if anyone here had any knowledge.
