Any idea what they produced Martin ? I looked in a book that had a map of aircraft production centers in Germany but it did not include any Czech factorys. The closest thing was a Junkers plant in Breslau Germany.

Sorry, Ta - I haven't the faintest idea ! [img]redface.gif[/img] I've stored it at the back of my mind for further investigation.

Another fascinating one is REIMAHG in Thuringia. Previously in East Germany, this is now being researched and opened to visitors by a local group. It was an enormous facility for producing the Me 262. The top of the mountain was levelled and completed aircraft were to be winched up from the factory complex and flown off with rocket assistance. In the event, only seven aircraft were completed here before the war ended.

Sounds like a Bond movie, but it's true !

I'm looking forward to reading this as so little is available in English about the late-war German aircraft production facilities, and not even 'After The Battle' has covered many of them yet....

wow, i am fascinated with those facilities, because the fact they can build a large facility underground still today some tech from the 30s and 40s is still very fascinating
