Homemade replicas
Now this looks like a repro
How about posting some repros that you found. I have also seen a repro SdKfz. 222 Made of plywood but have no photos of it. It was very good from 20ft away.

Re: Homemade replicas
Repro panzers from the ever interesting Shadock, some good, some bad, one quite funny.:
Repro Panzers
And then there's this pleasing piece of Lunacy:

Believe it or not, Lulubelle's a full scale wooden model.

Re: Homemade replicas
Wow, now that is pretty good. Is it a working model or just for static display?

Re: Homemade replicas
Reminds me of the M-551 Sheridan (dressed to look like Soviet made vehicles)used at the N.T.C. in California. PzJgr, do they still use those?

In the early 1980s the M551A1 was fitted with a visual modification kit to resemble Warsaw Pact vehicles at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin California. These modified vehicles no longer fulfill that role having been retired at the end of 2003 and subsequently scrapped or made available as "hard targets" or, in a few cases, as museum pieces. Many were dumped to create artificial reefs.

Re: Homemade replicas
Gee whiz! What a way to end a career as an AFV. Having been with 18th ABN Corp. Desert Storm '91, I remember them well. Not to get to far off the thread but, I still wonder how they fared in 1991.

Re: Homemade replicas
I'm not sure if it really qualifies as homemade but there is some speculation about that Kevin Wheatcroft may be producing full scale accurate Tiger replicas based on information from the Aberdeen Tiger which he recently restored.
Also worth consideration are the Czech OT810's that most always stand in for real SdKfz.251s in films or shows (and a few museums...), one currently undergoing conversion is illustrated here:
OT810/251, (he can also do you a T34/Tiger.)
Many more OT810 conversions illustrated here. (along with a real one courtesy of SdKfz.com )
