Interesting that they should try again. The crash is extensively covered in 'Battle Of Britain - Then & Now' ; the aircraft apparently impacted under a concrete wharf and then sank deep into the Thames mud.
The other crash mentioned is on Romney Marsh and is possibly the most poignant memorial I know ; to stand by a quiet country lane and think of airman and aircraft buried deep under an English field is very moving. The family apparently don't want the remains disturbed and I hope that they never are......
