AUSTIN TEXAS– State leaders, recalling the sacrifices of their fathers in World War II, dedicated a monument of granite pillars and a bronze wreath on the Capitol lawn Wednesday, a tribute to the "greatest generation" that came one day and 62 years after the Japanese surrendered.

A nice and sober monument. A neat initiative. A great salute to the 830.000 Texans who served during WWII.
