Default Me-163 flying last week

I was surfing and found this Me-163 flying at a German airshow. It did not give any details about the plane though.

I found anouther set of pictures of a 163 on it's last flight. I would not want to be the pilot and have to go up again in one of those things.

I hpo they used something other than that awful Hydrazine / Hydro.Peroxyde!

Aha! It's a trick!

Another first for me to see this aircraft type flying. Being towed by a Do.27 and after release gently gliding down to the RWY. Superb! Operated by the Messerschmitt Stiftung.
It's a glider only!

Is it original? I see it has an actual wheel in the front where the skid is located.

I believe it's this one with a slightly different paint job:
Mr Kurz' flying glider replica

The red seems to be a colour that a Rudolph Spate took to the air with, chosen by his groundcrew to echo Richtofen, he was apparently not amused:
Späte's red Komet - 310050/V41/PK+QL

Quite readable article where one Rudy Opitz, a test pilot, discusses the Komet:
Komet Me163 - Chief test pilot Rudy Opitz tells it like it was - Flight Journal.com Page 1

Cheers,
Adam.
