Re: NZ Victoria Crosses Stolen
I saw this on another Forum and it is disgusting ; one can only hope that the stolen items are recovered swiftly.
It goes to show that no corner of the Earth is free from this sort of thing

Re: NZ Victoria Crosses Stolen
People without respect, don't they know how hard it was to get one of those? What they stand for, what the proud Medal owner had to do to get one.
We have to catch those thieves and let them do the same thing to get those medals. Put them in a war and then we'll see if they still wanna steal those VC's.
I hope they'll be found soon!
Quite a shock for the owners.

Indeed, most likely stolen to order.
Such a thing is dreadful and a bloody low thing to do.

You can bet that some rich bastard hired the thieves to snag these Crosses. The smae thing happened when a pair of thieves took Erich Topps Gold presentation Dagger that Admiral Donitz or either Raeder, had presented to him. These objects will never see the light of day again.
I hate thieves. >:-((

Glad to hear such good news!! I hope the thieves get what they deserve, meaning-a long time behind bars.
