Mass grave of possible Nazi victims uncovered at German construction site
It seems that the Victims like old ordnance will keep coming up as a reminder of the war.

I can't find the link now, but I read yesterday that they thought the remains pre-dated WWII.

Re: Mass grave of possible Nazi victims uncovered at German construction site
I read that the site housed a military hospital in the 1870s. The graves could have been casualties of the Franco-Prussian War and not the result of any type of atrocity.
These authorities state they could have been victims of a typhoid epidemic in 1814.

Re: Mass grave of possible Nazi victims uncovered at German construction site
Hmm I'd be interested in the results of the Carbon14 tests. I'd say Naponleanic wars (1814) rather than the Franco Prussian war of 1870-1870. The 1870 fights were more in the Lorraine area, the 1814 fights almost everywhere...
