Unhappy Arthur C Clarke dies

Arthur C Clarke will be best known for 2001 A Space Odyssey and his follow ups but he also played his role during WW2 as well.

Quote:
During World War II, he volunteered for the Royal Air Force, where he worked in the then highly-secretive development of radar, and foresaw the concept of communication satellites.

Rest In Peace.

A giant Sci Fi writer who has left his mark in the world of fiction but also his work in science as well.

R.I.P. Arthur!

You made several books I truly enjoyed reading as a teenager! Thanx for them!

Rest in Peace indeed....

For me, he was the last of the great ones: Frank Herbert, Philip Dick, Isaac Asimov, JRR Tolkien, all gone... only Clarke was left. And now he goes to join them.

I put an obituary of him in my website, it's also there the good-bye video he made last december. Completely worth watching:

Sala de Guerra: Nota de Falecimento: Sir Arthur C. Clarke
