It seems as more people refuse to swallow the MMGW BS, the chattering classes are going for the shock factor-

Since I don't read Time mag anyway to begin with, I can't boycott it. Distasteful at best.

I can understand Mr Mates chagrin with them for doing that,and I can safely say he has good reason to be angry, but a "mortal sin"? Whoever did it is going to hell? I think thats a little bit much. It's not like they replaced the American flag with a nazi flag, or a flag with a picture of Bin Laden on it, it's just a vehicle to get readers to understand what the environmental battle is all about.
