My favorite Pointe du Hoc spot.
A famous photo, printed in every book.
The us rangers climbed the cliffs and came in a "moon-scape". In this photo you see the captured germans lead away and in the same time the american wounded GI's get medical attention.
Watch the us flag, probably is there hoping the airforce will not make mistakes.
And now in the afternoonsun:
Most of the bunkers badly damaged by the bombing in the days prior to d-day.
That Ranger is me.....
The moonscape with huge craters.

nice work mate. You can see on the right of the cliff face, what appears to be a land protruding out from the mainland, and you can see just how much land was both blown away and how much was remade.
