Princess to visit SOE monument in France

April 25th 2008

Princess Ann from the British Royal Familly is to visit Valencay , France today to commemorate 108 SOE British and French agents who died for our freedom.
Many of these were executed in 1944 in Buchenwald and strangled with barbled wire by the Nazis. Valencay is also a place were many parachutings and Lysander landings took place. The monument is an important SOE pelgrimage center in France.
