Thanks for reminding us Drew, Tulle is actually well known in France, not so much abroad so. Other similar places are almost forgotten despite large massacres , for instance Maillé The Massacre of Maillé
Many other places have "small massacres: I am thinking of Chambord, Tigy for instance. You might also want to read about the Penthievre Massacre were over 50 patriots were strangled with barbled wire.

Some of those names I have had regard to read up on recently due to the French colonial troop thread last week. Got me looking thru my French military books. Truly some depressing stuff and reads.
