"A memorial dedicated to soldiers killed during World War II has been unveiled in a West Yorkshire town.
Local woman Iris Heeley spent more than a year raising funds for the £7,000 memorial wall at the parish church in Hemsworth, near Pontefract.
Mrs Heeley's father-in-law died in Burma in 1944. His name is among those on the memorial, which she designed.
It was funded through donations from local people, businesses, the town council and other organizations."
