I am seeking information on Pvt. Ralph (Nick) Kious enlisted on April 19th, 1943, the day after his 18th birthday in Columbus, OH.

He served in the 117th Infantry Division, 30th Battery. I believe he was in Company A. He was killed in action near St. Lo,France on July 9, 1944 at age 19. I am interested in finding out when he landed in France, as well as the action in which he was killed.

I have the opportunity to buy a US WW2, 82nd Airborne Ike Jacket.
The Ike Jacket belonged to a corporal of B-company, 504th PIR.
The jacket is marked with a laundry number: 'P9797'.

I've done some research towards this laundry number, but I couldn't find anything.
Could somebody please help me to identify the soldier who's jacket it belonged to?
