Carl sent me some scans of his war pictures. I must say he has some great pictures and I like the scans very much. Here I post one of two of the pictures. In the coming time I will post more.

    Here is numer one:

This picture was taken on March 1945 by Lieutenant J.S. Cohen. German guns captures in Andernach (Germany), taken by 11th armored division of the 3rd US Army. The weapons are examined by T/5 Russel w. Mc Cartney of Mancelone, Michegan and T/5 Stanley W. Stochla, of Detroit, Michigan.

Volkbert--thank you for posting them here my friend. These are two of my favorite photos.

The 1st pic is a an Allied Press photo and the second is a Luftwaffe PK Press foto.

The Luftwaffe Feldwebel looks to me like he is British rather than German--but just my humble oninion. [IMG]

Hope you guys enjoy them--I do. [IMG]

Carl - Indeed the feldwebel doesn't look very German. Maybe this is a secret photo and Molders was a spy meeting an allied officer here. :D :D

Carl - Winston Churchill's car? It looks British to me but I don't have much knowledge about old cars.

    Thank you...and

Volkbert--as a VERY rare stroke of good luck--I now know the Oberfeldwebels name and unit.

He is: Oberfeldwebel Edmund Wagner, Flugzeugfuhrer der 9 Staffel.

I HOPE Erich sees this--he might be able to tell us more about him now that there is a name and unit. :D

PS: I know very little about old cars too. [IMG]

Oh and another thing--I do think there was an RKT who was also an Edmund Wagner--but i'm not positive. If so--I have to wonder if this man and he--is one and the same. [IMG] [IMG]

Carl, hope it is of some help. Sorry to say I do not have the volume covering JG 51 as there is probably more there on his personal actions but then again maybe not....
