Congratulations Volkbert ! Folkert, a long and wonderful life ahead of you ...... God bless ! from an Opa
And to keep with the forum traditions, he even looks like winston churhil, why do all newborns look like winnie. Congrats Volkbert.

Sorry I got here late today but, CONGRATULATIONS VOLKBERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You get a Knights Cross for this ol boy!!!! You also made my day with the announcement. I wish nothing more but all the best of health, longevity and happiness for you and your girlfriend and your newborn son. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, another MILITARIA COLLECTOR has been born. Many many congratulations are due for the both of you. Take care my friend.....
Gratuliere, Volkbert! Your little Winston is indeed very cute!!! I wish you the best in this world and your family too!!! Cool name too!
Thank you all for the kind replies!!! I will print them all so that my son can read it when he is old enough to do so. I thought the name means: leader of the folk. I have a book with german names but can't find it right now. I am glad you like the name too. It's hardly used in the Netherlands. We wanted this name long ago. I will do everything to make him interested in WWII. Today I showed him my new militaria room and his touched my waffenrock Here is picture of my little boy, four days old.
Being Dutch, Volkbert, you must also get your 'wee man' interested in motorcycles. Then you can bring to the Isle of Man for the TT
Volkbert--don't forget what I told you to do when the baby starts teething. Have a bottle of W-H-I-S-K-E-Y handy so you can dip his teether in it and give the teether to him and the whiskey will do no harm to him and will not only make the pain go away but, also make him quit crying and go to sleep. Believe me--it works--my father use it on all my Brothers and my Sister and myself.
