I noticed a while back that there may not be a single lady amongst us here in the forums, it would be nice to know if there be any members of the fairer sex to balance out some of the, er, more male views in this place.

For instance, my wife loves war history as well and has contributed greatly to my understanding of war.

Comeon all you ladies...'fess up! [IMG] :D

At last I have returned!!! (dun dun dun)
Sorry for my long absence, but I have been travelling abroad (well worth it indeed). I went on a sort of "spur of the moment" trip to Europe (part of my Christmas present from my Nonna) I travelled Italy (even went to the DUCE's grave), some parts of Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. I can't wait to go back (hopefully in the summer 2005).

School has started back up again (bleh) with only two of the History classes I wanted. :(

But not to divert from this thread, BratwurstDimSum, I am of the "fairer generation" as you put it, and LOVE my history :D :D :D

It feels good to be back!

    Hi to all! [IMG]
I am back after a trips to Prague, Budapest and Belgrade. New year's eve in Prague was absolutely magnificent (got drunk immensly...) but Budapest and Belgrade were a hell of a experience also :D
Yeah, I haven't noticed any ladies here, maybe the war isn't what turns them on... ;)

    Srdo,

You obviously just mised DUCE's post! I am hoping her avatar didn't put you off, I'm sure she is far more fair that old Musso. Duce, who is your namesake anywhow? Sorry if that is a dumb question! [IMG]

Welcome back, Srdo! Happy New Year! ;)

Brat, what's your name too, by the way? You mentioned it somewhere time ago, but I don't remember it... ;)

DUCE (pronounced Doo che [IMG] ) Is what Mussolini demanded he be called. Even members of his own family (with the exception of his wife) had to call him that in public places. As I said in a different thread, I simply picked the name because "Mussolini" was already taken. I am, however, considering changing it to "Galeazzo Ciano" (Mussolini's son in law, who's anti-fascist/nazi ways ended up getting him killed) or even Robodengo, my great-grandfather...one of the founding members of the Fasci de Combattemento in 1919. Decisions, decisions! We'll see, I've been nicknamed DUCE since I was little...(Three reasons so I'm told. 1 - I have a very quick temper 2 - I have the same imposing posture sometimes, ya know, hands on the hips, chin jutted out that lovely stuff and 3 - DUCE literally translates into "leader" and well, that's self explanitory)

    Ciao,

    DUCE

I think he was talking about the BDS (sounds like an obscure fettish doesn't it), an unusual combination of German sausage meat and Chinese dumplings

Oh! Well in that case you're correct, Stef. I am Chinese and I like to do a Wehrmacht impression (there were loads of Soldats from Asian decent apparently). So my name is kinda appropriate don't you think, especially with Bratwurst being my fav Austrian sausage! :D

I consider my great grandfather a hero. Even if he was a facist. I also consider my grandfather a hero, for fighting against the fascists and for surviving 16 months in a German POW camp before the end of the war.

However, I think I'll just stay with the screen name that I have now. People on here know me as such, so it's gonna stay.

Martin- thanks a mil! Did I ever tell you you were my favorite? ;) [IMG]
    Srdo,
I must admit, Roma is a good team (*shudders*). But there are alot of good teams in the Italian leagues. I think it comes with the territory... anywho, I like watching many teams, Juventus, Roma, AC, Inter...but, growing up watching and cheering for Inter it just kind of stuck. Although there is a Bacchiega (my last name) who plays for Juventus.... ;) ;) ;)
