I need players for at least the following...

Poland

If I fill these and get more players, I will either run two seperate games or find some more countries, plenty in the BAlkans to choose from!

Ah, shucks...there goes that plan....i'll have to look elsewhere then...

BTW, i have a Mate who wants to join if he can. He would prefer Germany. I can give you his contact info if you like so you can get in contact with him. He has GM'd the best WWII game i have ever played. He also offers you a bribe of sorts - he will make a generic webpage for the game too (good place to post rules, guidelines, etc).

Can I be Norway? I have a burning desire to defend my homeland (sort of) whatever the cost may be! And also to act like Kirk Douglass (Heroes of Tellemark) and thwart the a-bomb plan!

All those who have recieved Briefings start to think about your firt set of orders. All correspondence must go through me, so if you are sending messages to each other either mail them to me with a clear request as to which country or send me a copy of what you have sent. This will allow the game to run smoothly and stop me missin important details and alliances etc.

The only one I really need is Poland but it would be gud if we could fill them all. No reason why Greece couldnt start WW2!!!


I will be back online tomorrow morning to check for more players and hope to kick off on thursday... that will give all players till the 4th of June to get the orders in for end of August 1939.

One thing, could you please post a sample set of orders so that we know the areas we have to cover, I mean for example what should we do economically etc?

 

No problem. Was workin on that today as i have several from the last time I ran this game for my wargames group. Just trying to find a set of orders that dont give too much away!!!

Will post them up tomorrow in the guidelines section. I think my last Fuhrers orders will do and those from the USA, both put in a lot of effort but it will give you an idea as to content.

Just as a quick guide I believe they split their orders into the following headings:

Military - all matters related to the Armed Forces

Industry - resources and production. What you want made etc

Diplomatic bag - messages for other nations

Press Releases - Articles for the press and propaganda

Espionage - my favourite... always brings out the worst in people.

One of my favourite moments in the last campaign was when two German agents on a motorcycle pulled up next to the French Minister for War at a set of traffic lights in Paris and emptied their MP38 into the Minister and his driver... That was before the war started...

Anyway will sort that out tomorrow, have to fire up the old clockwork PC and get the files!!!
