Well guys, in case you hadn't realised my absence, i was over in Europe for 3 and a half months and i have seen some pretty amazing things, though im sure being a war site-we do want to hear about war stuff, yes?!?!?!?
    Well.....

I saw Gallipoli which was incredible and really moving for an Aussie like me (very patriotic), and it was incredible to wander through remainign Turkish trenches....

I stayed in Caen for nearly a week and went on a D-Day tour seeing Arromanches, Colleville-Sur-Mer, Omaha Beach, Pointe Du Hoc, Longues-Sur-Mer and the American Military Cemetery at Colleville and i saw Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt's grave!!!

I know theres more but i will give just a small taste for now....
    thanks guys....

Did you go to Villers-Bocage, or a more appriopriate question would be, is there anything pertaining to WW2 to see in the little town? What about the town Le Lorey, or better known, to me anyway, as 'Barkmann's Corner.

I go to Villers every year... There is still alot of original buildings. We walk from Wittmans start point into the town...

Its just a shame about the motorway...

The town hall also has a model of the battle...
