There has been uproar amongst United supporters following the revelation
that the memorial picture of Busby Babes on the front of the East Stand at
Old Trafford has an AIG sponsors logo on it. As the panels of the picture
went up they were greeted by almost universal acclaim until the final few
panels went up revealing a glaring error AND the AIG sponsor's logo.
Outraged supporters have been inundating AIG with complaints
    (boardofdirectors@aig.com marketing.uk@aig.com ).

The Club have been alerted to both the error and to the anger over the
presence of the AIG logo but their statement only says they will correct
the error but initialy made no mention whatsoever (see "AIG logo stays" in
notes below) of the thing that has really angered supporters -the inclusion
of a sponsor's logo on what is effectively a memorial. Now the club seem
    set to support its inclusion.

Missing out the name Busby in the second line of the song is obviously a
genuine mistake but ultimately forgivable. However the inclusion of the AIG
sponsor logo alongside the words "They play on in our memories" makes it
sound like a cheesy advertising strapline and appears a premeditated
attempt to monetise the remembrance of Munich by associating themselves
    with the powerful emotions generated.

We urge the club to also correct the real error (of judgement) and remove
    the AIG logo.

Finnish Jari Litmanen will be practicing for awhile with Fulham, and if in good enough shape, might even play Premiership football...surprise/shock of the season...

Gill is getting his house decorated from happy fans who appreciate his good relations with the Glazers according to teamtalk.com

It's typical of modern football. The big money is causing a rift with the fans everywhere. I seldom side fully with Roy Keane, but do beleive that he was on to something with his 'prawn sandwich brigade' rant.

Football used to be THE sport for the working class and now a season ticket is £1000!!!

Interesting person to enter the Newcastle "arena" : Dennis Wise.

    Also interesting:

"Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan admits to being surprised by the appointment of Dennis Wise at St James' Park."

    So what´s going on....?

SAF has commited the sin of all sin's. What a disgrace, the game of all games and he lets his team lose City.

MUFC devotee's every where demand he must now undergo close scrutiny from Manc Sharia law.

If you are reading this Archbishop Rowan, may I be the first to throw a tea cup at this drunken black leg head.

I hope this won´t happen again in any games....

UEFA have been urged to investigate a laser beam incident involving Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo during Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Lyon.

But the French club could be subject to an investigation before then by European football's governing body over one of their supporters aiming a laser at Ronaldo.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "We reported the matter to UEFA before the game.

"We noticed it in the warm-up and they (UEFA) are aware of it."

Gonna be a great ending for the Premier League this season. Any of the three ManU, Chelsea or Arsenal could win it really...

The Big Four all played this weekend. Man Utd had easy 3 - 0 win over Liverpool.

Arsenal/Chelsea game was a thriller...i felt Drogba was a bit lucky with his second goal. Some pretty intense moments to be sure, though 2 - 1 loss for Arsenal might be end of title hopes for them.

The last games for the premier League. Chelsea still having a chance to win it...

I am already wondering about the summer player switches. I am quite sure Christian Ronaldo will go to Spain, once Barca sells Ronaldinho they got the money to pay ManU for the man. Also I suppose Cesc Fabregas will go to Spain as well, Real perhaps? especially as I recently read that Arsenal has no need to splash the cash during the summer by Wenger.
Also Thierry Henry seems to be coming back to premier league and I learnt that actually Newcastle might be the most interested club to do business.

Grant of Chelsea has also said he wants Gerrard from Liverpool and Gerrard has once almost left so wondering about that....

Barca has played poor football lately so we´ll see if Rijkaard is axed after the season.

Oh and not that Rugby Union junk but real Rugby League State of Origin matchs, QLD Vs NSW, yeah thats a sport to watch a real mans, mans sport. On saying that my fiancee is looking at me going "so why are you watching it" lol:)
