Throughout the 1930's, Britain and France tried "appeasement" and we all know the results of that policy. Like Hitler, Iran's leaders have not be shy about stating their goals. If they gain nuclear weapons, they will use them. We then, will have a new world war to deal with. We, the free peoples of the world, must do whatever it takes to prevent that outcome.

Dead right, no one likes appeasement, Especially so in the Pacifc with Japan and China too..
But notwithstanding that, its a good job we didnt appease Iraq, blimey, All those wmd raining down on us in 45 minutes if we hadn't have gone in and found them first...Sorry I think and its only think..Iran isnt capable of anything but words...same as Sadman really, and even if they are...It would unfurtunately take a lot more than this lot of lying conniving gits we have in power on both sides of the Atlantic now to convince me otherwise...which is a pity really because they once they were caught out lying to the extent they have done, why should anything from their lips be taken as gospel anymore...

I quite agree in the literal sense. Let's hope for statesmanship and leadership to find a mature solution, and not puerile 'shock and awe' to please the masses.
