Iran's foreign minister has rejected criticism of a two-day conference being held in Iran to examine whether the Holocaust actually happened.

    Monday, 11 December 2006

Participants include a number of well-known "revisionist" Western academics. American David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, is to present a paper.

Mr Mottaki dismissed foreign criticism as "predictable", telling delegates there was "no logical reason" to oppose the conference.

In a recorded address broadcast to the nation, President Ahmadinejad questioned why the West would not allow "any investigation" into the Holocaust.

Mr Ahmadinejad has repeatedly downplayed the extent of the Holocaust, describing it as a myth used to justify the existence of Israel and oppression of the Palestinians. He has called for Israel to be dismantled.

Yes, Submerge, from some ultra-ortodox jewish sect that posits that jews shouldn't restore a state of Israel before the arrival of the true Messiah (Jesus Christ doesn't count, obviously). As such, every anti-zionist may be an ally, in this case making themselves subjects to this manipulation.

Interesting thread this. What a disgrace that these people would deny the Shoa/Holocaust. :( Not only is it anti-semetims at it's worst, it's an insult to those that fought and died during World War II to syop it.

It would be a joke if it weren't the leader of a sovereign nation spewing this garbage.

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad questioned the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks and defended the right to cast doubt on the Holocaust in a tense appearance Monday at Columbia University, whose president accused the hard-line leader of behaving like "a petty and cruel dictator.""

Ahmadinejad was in a win/win situation. This was a political coup for him and the student audience helped him with it by applauding him. It did not matter what he said, his supporters in the Middle East would use this as propaganda and televise it throughout the arab countries that he was able to go into the devil's den and win over Americans....and Columbia did just that. And the students were touting their liberalism as some sort of victory. Little do they know what they have done. They really think that the muslim stations will air the WHOLE Q & A. I think now. If you cut out the questions and just film his speech, it shows (without cropping) the students applauding him afterwards. How much of an idiot can you be. The president of Columbia just made it worse with his stupid attempt at trapping the Iranian president. And if he was not allowed to speak, then Ahmadinejad could just claim that American really is not a democracy and freedom of speech is not free. So, win/win for him. I am just disgusted and thinking 'what the hell were they thinking.' :dazed:

:_arg: I'm still pissed. This was the equivelent of the Munich crisis where Chamberlain comes back with a piece of toilet paper and declares 'peace in our time'. Columbia was hoodwinked and made all of America look bad. ITIOTS!

Now I see who Ahmedinejat's role model is.

Exactly. And Columbia swallowed it all. The students really thought that this was 'dialogue' and that Bush should have a debate with Ahmedinejat.

Za just wait for the anti-Persia cartoons to come in force very soon.

I'd love to take this so-called leader on a nice 100 mile bike ride, oh that's right that don't have cyclists in Persia.

the man is a deceiver and in chaos and evil, why would one wonder when he proclaims himself as the usher of the 12th Imam

    what an utter fool !
