From March of 1988 until the invasion of Kuwait in 1990, Iraq contracted with Gerard Bull to build three superguns: two full sized 'Project Babylon' 1000 mm guns and one 'Baby Babylon' 350 mm prototyp Nation: Iraq.

In early 1918, over 100 British submariners lost their lives due to accidents in a maneuver. How is this incident called?

THE Battle of May Island, since it happened close to the Isle of May in Scotland's Firth of Forth.

    Cheers Knight!

Who is rumoured to have helped William the Conqueror AND his son Robert Curthose, when the latter rebelled in 1078-9?

    Good try Mah,
But not William Rufus. Not actually a relative of William the Conqueror, but same country ;)

    Regards,

    Gordon

No, Wil. It was King Philip I of France.

That was a wild, goofy guess. You said, ..."same country." That threw me off a bit, England AND Normandy?, Just England?, Normandy? Poor old Robert sure did get the short end of the stick in the end. :D

I know Wil. Philip gave Robert the castle of Gerberoi as a base, because it was conveniently close to the Duchy of Normandy to let Robert mount raids, and also to give William something to worry about. Divide and rule, if you like. 'two-faced' also springs to mind..... ;)

    Gong? What do you mean?!

    Well, new question:

Name a victory of the Austro-Hungarian army in WWI without German help.
