    Redcoat is correct!

This was the invasion plans to invade the British Mainland through Ireland. It was abandoned once they Hitler got bogged down in Russia.

    Over to you Redocat.

    Erm...

An air raid on Liverpool? BAy of Biscay?

Check this for a history of a brave little ship...

    Kerlogue

RedCoat, you know one of the German Sailors picked up by the ship is buried at Glencree, just down the road from me... I posted a topic on it and have just been reading your topic on the Kerlogue. I posted some pics of Glencree and took a pic of each headstone so I may have a pic of the sailor. Let me know if you have his name.

    Its all yours TheRedBaron :D

    sorry I don't :(

ps another note on the rescue by the Kerlogue of the 168 German sailors. It appears that the leader of the German sailors rescued asked the captain of the Kerlogue to take them to an Axis controlled port, the captain refused and took them to Ireland where they were interned for the rest of the war. That captain must have had balls of steel :D
