My girlfriend (Trouble), grew up on a ranch. She loves horses, and was mighty jealous of your animals. There are not too many stables in Chicago!
Me and the GF just bought our first two pets! Two Guinea Pigs!! The White one is named Bonnie and the Black one is named Clyde. They're too scared right now - huddle up in the corner together - since we just brought them home, but once they warm up to us and their new surroundings i'll snap a picture of the two of them and post them up.
It's just a trick of the light caused by the flash, Terry. The skin in those areas is actually blue-black naturally.
Had a bad day today. Rode the American Saddlebred (Dixie) early in the morning and had a good ride. She is a runner and likes to stay in a gallop as much as possible. She is a new horse and is 11 years old. After lunch, I saddled by daughter's Quarter Horse (Grace, 6) and rode her a bit and then resaddled her for my daughter to ride while I saddled my father's new Walker (Jasmine, 3) and then I rode her. I rode out to the chicken houses and did some hard turns and figure 8s then rode back toward the house. About halfway back, while in a gallop, Jasmine stopped hard, started bucking and caught me off guard. The second jump sent me to the ground. She is a small horse and I mentioned that I thought the saddle was too large but my father over-ruled me. I thought at time that the saddle had shifted and pinched her. I've not been thrown in years. I rode Jasmine a bit more and was not satisfied with her to let the girls ride her, so my father (67, post-coronary bypass surgery 7 years ago) got on her and I was going to resaddle Dixie after a short rest. Meanwhile, my daughter's friend was riding Grace, the good Quarter Horse. They both rode back and forth to the chicken houses several times. On the last trip, Grace got into a trot coming back and my daughter's friend got scared and started screaming, which upset the Grace, who got faster. My father was ahead and turned his horse to block the path and catch Grace. When Grace got close to Jasmine, Jasmine started bucking and sent my father to the ground. Grace stopped up short and turned hard, spilling the little girl to the ground unhurt. My father hit the ground hard and was knocked out cold. I ran down there and he was unconcious for several minutes before he started to come back to slowly. My mom called 911 and got an ambulance in route. By the time it got there he was back to normal, but he went on the hospital to get checked out. He didn't remember her bucking and him flying off of the horse. He is back home now, but both of us are sore, him all over and me, my left hip, which I had landed on. Grace did nothing wrong, she stood right there while we looked after my father. Her trotting back and getting faster is to be expected with an inexperience rider, if it had been me or my daughter on her, there would have been no problem, we would have handled her. Jasmine ran off and I had to catch her after my father had recovered somewhat. She will be leaving ASAP, headed for the horse sale as we will not have a unreliable horse on the farm.
Here are by Guinea Pigs (Cavvies). The White One is known as Bonnie, the Escape Artist. She can pull and move her play pen fence to get out and go exploring. Or, if the fence is set up in such a way that prevents her from doing that, she has been seen climbing and jumping over the fence. No small feat for a creature of her size, given that the fence is 1ft tall! The Black One is known as Clyde but is also female (they are sisters). She is more of a dud, weighing in at 1.6lbs (as opposed to Bonnies slim 1.0lbs) and is commonly referred to as 'the fatty'. She loves to eat, and is usually too fat to follow where Bonnie goes. She does enjoy being picked up and petted more so then Bonnie. Bonnie, in all her glory. Clyde, doing what she loves best: eating. Two drowned rats: Bonnie and Clyde after their first bath. Whose that Guinea Pig poking out of the hood?
EDIT: Upload Exceeded, so pics temp down. Here are some pics showing Bonnie, the escaping Guinea Pig, caught in the act! The Fence. Is that a G-Pig i see? Indeed it is! Caught climbing the fence! Hiding.
Here are my two dogs, Stella on the left and Alfie on the right. Added together they weight less than 10 lbs. Yes they are both full grown.

Sorry to hear about that. I used to have a Rottie. Great dog. I don't care what people say, our pets are family and their deaths cause plenty of grief. Cheers mate
Hello, Well, by my name you will have guessed - yup, it's aligators! When Sophie, Edward and Suzi decide to be co-operative I'll post a couple of photos of my 'little angels'. They do purr by the way. Sophie is gentle and a natural 'Mummy', (except that she's not capable); Edward is ginger - and a boy - who's always up to mischief and is very loving; Suzi is a blue Persian, hates being groomed and the v...e...t, so life gets interesting at times. Our darling little Bess had to be put to sleep last May and we have also been parents to Thomas, (Mummy's baby); Doodle, (who knew how to use claws and teeth dangerously - ask the guys who tried to steal him - and would only let me tickle tummy) and William, who had terminal kidney failure when he came to us, but was a delight for 14 wonderful months. That's all about our furry family, so hope that you will enjoy the photos when I get them up here. All the best - and lots of pppppuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssssssss, kittensmummy and the kittens!
Here are photos of our girl, Molly, from a few years ago. We don't know her breed, but based on the other puppies rescued with her after she was abandoned in -40C weather in 1999, she is probably part black Lab, and part German Shephard. We're also quite certain she is part Border Collie based on her tail, skirt, and behaviour. Our Dog Molly (The website is terribly outdated. ) I checked and all my other photos are too large to attach, so I will shortly add a more recent shot of her, and the more recent adoptee found last winter, Jaz, the black cat who thinks the sun and moon rise because of my stepdaughter!
