    Happy (belated) 4th!

And it may not seem like it but, we still do appreciate France giving us the Statue of Liberty ;-)

Otto, the only fireworks we saw here was Lightning from the glorious Thunderstorms that ma nature gave us since Monday. Since Monday--we have had about 22 inches of rain--only some flooding in low-lying areas--nothing like the terrible mess that happened in other parts of Tejas. More rain earlier this afternoon-=and is supposed to give us even more through the weekend--however--I don't think it will happen--or not enough to matter. The sun is staying out longer and longer--rapidly heating things up again.

As for the Patton speech--I don't have a link handy that one can go to to read it but, it's almost nothing like the hollywood version--but is still very good.

    Nice set-up PzJgr!

Skipper, the Rootbeer was delicious! I thank you for it as well as :snoopy: thanks you ;-))

Hi E, wish I could send some that way. The low pressure area that was causing us to get drenched, moved away late Sat and I think is heading towards the Alabama-Georgia area. All total in 6 days of having thunderstorms--we had a total here in CC is 24 inches. As Darth Vader would say: "Impressive......Most Impressive."

We had our last rain here at 3PM Sat which caused about 6,000 people to lose power till about 6 Pm. That is why I never made it here Sat--the library lost power after a double-lightning strike.

It's blowing through here today, CE, and I'm loving it. It has apparently lost some of it's violence and giving us just the right amount of needed rain. Send us more, if you have it. My yard needs a trimming, but it can wait if we can get more rain.
