It is true that people were dissapointed with the game, particularly some key issues like lack of enterable buildings, smoke and (in game) mortars. There was a patch released and further upgrades are coming, with the developers (1C) at least showing they are supporting the game and listening to the people who bought and play it. I posted the movie as, warts n' all it is still better than anything in a similar genre (imho) currently available and if changes are managed correctly, should become a classic for small unit action simulations. Obviously I like the game and eagerly await the update of the MP component, which for me personally was my only dissapointment originally. Hope you liked the movie, I made it from a game I recorded on a modded mission. The game has a mission and map editor, although I have not used either myself, a small modding community appears to be developing. OOC: When I get my copy of World In Conflict I hope to make a movie and post that here also
Yeah, i got Theatre of War but cant play it for some reason...installs fine but then nothing happens when i try to start up the game. So far waste of money to me.
Thats a pity Mussolini. Out of interest did you check the Battlefront forums Tech Support as I see quite a number of people had a similar problem. For example, if you have an nvidia card, turning off "Extension Limit" in the gfx card control panel seemed to work for a number. There is a new campaign being released soon (before October end apparantly) which means more maps and hopefully a lobby for MP will be added soon too. The game is moving and in the right direction Thanks Otto - I tend to simply string together a bit of action without much thought to telling a story. Along with my music choices, it is the thing people have commented on the most.
