    Gents here are a couple of scans of late war LW nf's taken from Merkurs drawings. Although this is after the time that Mr Campbells Lanc was downed vs G-1's thought you may want to have a copy.....

    here is a photo of the typical Ju 88G-6 with canted radar aerials

    from I./NJG 3. In the upper drawing the very first one the canted aerials were removed and a centralized spike was used with small x members to reduce drag and RAF interference. And in most cases this long "dagger" was covering with a plywood nose-cone. this being the usual FuG 220d radar-set

    here is another item maybe ? a little colour though on a Ju 88G-6 it would of been the same in this case for a Ju 88G-1 in summer of 44

    Erich, thanks for that. Great set of drawings and the photograph captures the scale of the JU88 - it is a much larger aircraft then I imagined it to be.
