I have to ask, what part of SC are you from? I'm currently in Tiger Town - aka Clemson. Sadly, no Barnes & Nobles or Borders around, but I did find a Books-a-Million in Anderson which is a pretty awesome store! Big section on WWII woot woot!

General ww2 history books are hard to find and usually biased, but I'd go to www.ABEbooks,com for an old copy of Basil Liddell Hart's "History of the Second World War".
