Ta152 is quite right - it is a photo of the CAF's ill-fated Casa 2-111, a licence-built Heinkel with RR Merlins. I believe another one of these is to be restored to static condition at Duxford.
I can only make out a single rudder on the picture so I am leaning toward a Ju-88. Me-110, and Do-17 have twin rudders, and He-111 has a thicker wing. I wonder if the "K" on the wing is a squadron code or just an aircraft code. Erich is never around when you need him.
i was going outline what i see to be a fin towards the back but then i looked at what appears to be the bottom and there is no bombadier spot like in the 111 guess you're right... this is in refrence to the first picture posted [ 24. September 2004, 06:12 PM: Message edited by: 5-0-duce ]
Close; it's the Commemerative Air Force and, yes, however you interpret the last full paragraph on this page, the name change was partly due to PC BS. Here's a 303rd BG Fort with a visitor... Fade to Black... [ 10. October 2004, 10:21 AM: Message edited by: BlackWolf3945 ]
Good question... I really don't recall, unfortunately. It's been sitting on my PC for a long time and I only recently 're-discovered' it. Fade to Black...

That's because you didn't get the full URL: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v59/blackwolf3945/ETO%20Club/Aircraft%20General%20Posting/109attacksB-17.jpg By the way, you won't find the original online source of the image that way; not in my case, that is. Unlike a good majority of the folks who post images on forums, I don't hotlink. I host... Here's a very well-known shot of a few Beaufighters workin' over some axis shipping... Fade to Black... [ 10. AH, that explains it. I am a hoster myself. That is a real cool pic. Not unlike Though this is a Blenheim going down after being hit by either the mast or debri.
