Did anyone of you know, that the swastika symbol has been used in Russia between 1917 and 1922. I found a picture of a 250 rouble bill with a swastika in the center, only printed in the above mentioned period. Another picture shows a badge with a swastika, worn by soldiers of the red army in the southeast front in 1918.
See the attached picture that I copied from a russian book written by Akim Arutyunow with the title "The Lenin Dossier uncensored" (1999). This book is only available in russian.

Oh now I see that I cannot attach pictures, what a pitty. Now I have to look for some webspace. Excuse me, but this is my first post.

Welcome to the forums Stauffenberg! Thank you for sharing that information. I didn't know about that.

The swastika can be traced back from the ancient Romans to China to American Southwest Indians. It has been used for over 3,000 years. Until the Nazis used this symbol, the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck.

Yes, and for the next 3,000 years this symbol will be associated with mass murder. What a shame! [IMG]

I still have no webspace but found the described pictures in the internet, even in a far better quality.
The 250 rouble bill (it's a little bit difficult to see the swastika, its in the center behind the double eagle)

The arm-badge you can see on this page

Thank you Kai for the link to a very informative webpage. How astonishing that this symbol is used all over the world for thousands of years. Hitler and also the bolshewiki must have been bad informed about the meaning of the swastika. Maybe Hitler looked for a symbol in the nordic mythology and discovered it there.

Hallo vesturzniek, I have not read this book personally, but my mother read it and she is quite enthusiastic about it. By the way the translation of the title is my own, there is no official English title. The orignal title is as follows: "Dossie Lenina bes retushi".
