    You were more specific so dont worry about that. I have the same problem from time to time. Funny that we both came back with similar answers.

    Well, your a lot closer than you think actually. It is indeed the German Embassy but, not in Japan. You are in the right part of the world though.

    Ding, we have a winner. Good job. Over to you.

    German offical outside of the German Embassy where a large Swastika flag is spread in the courtyard to warn off attack by Japanese planes which are bombing Chinese postions in and around the city.

    May need a little more help here.....like the name of the building!!!

    Any more clues? Country? Type of building? Country causing the damage?

    The 18 story Prudential Building in Warsaw, Poland. As soon as I saw you gave the Eastern Front as a hint I thought Poland.

    Yes, the Prudential. The photo was taken during the Warsaw Uprising in late 1944.

    I give up. As soon as I saw the picture this is what went through my mind:

    "I know that building, its easy. Thats the....erm...the....dammit where did it go? It was here and now its gone."

    In case you haven't guessed it never came back, I cannot remember the darn thing at all!!!

    Heh, ok, here's a hint. One of the biggest technological achievements of WWII, one which played a major part in the war, was invented here.
